Mae Ramphueng Beach

A 12-kilometre stretch of sand — one of the longest beaches in Thailand — with a paved path along the shore for walking and cycling, casuarina shade, and seafood stalls where you eat with your feet almost in the water. Suan Son Pine Forest

A beach where the pine trees grow right down to the sand. Families spread mats in the shade, kids swim in the calm shallow water, and the vendors bring grilled squid and som tam to your mat. Khao Chamao Waterfall

Rayong Old Town, Yomjinda Road

Tung Prong Thong Golden Mangrove Forest

A wooden boardwalk winding through a mangrove forest that glows gold in the morning and late-afternoon light, out to a viewing tower over the estuary. Free to enter, an easy 30-minute walk, and right by Pak Nam Prasae where the seafood is landed the same day.
