Mae Ramphueng is Rayong's long town beach, running along the coast of Taphong and Phe sub-districts in Mueang Rayong. About 12 km of sand runs beside a coast road, shaded by casuarina trees. The western end is roughly 10 km from Rayong town; the eastern end is about 6 km from Ban Phe, where the ferries leave for Ko Samet. It is the easiest way in the province to live by the sea without giving up the town.
