The district at a glance

Three meanings of one name

• Khao Chamao district: the administrative area covered here, with its seat at Huai Thap Mon.
• Khao Chamao–Khao Wong National Park: a protected area of about 84 sq.km, declared a national park in 1975.
• Khao Chamao waterfall: an eight-tier fall in the park, with seven tiers reachable on foot; see the waterfall guide.

When you search for property, check whether an advert means the district or only uses the waterfall as a landmark, because real distances can differ a lot.

Buying land or a house around Khao Chamao
